Editorial Western-Inspired Maternity Session | Clarksville, TN
This western-inspired maternity session with Lindsey was photographed right in her neighborhood during golden hour. I didn’t have the chance to scout the location beforehand, so I arrived ready to get creative and make the most of what was available — thankfully, the light was perfect and everything came together beautifully. Lindsey nailed the styling and looked incredible, and I brought along a few pieces for her daughter to wear that paired perfectly with the mood of the session.
Lindsey has a deep love for the timeless look of black and white film photography, and that vision guided our session from the start. With years of experience shooting and developing film, I was able to bring that aesthetic to life digitally — soft contrasts, rich tones, and a classic feel that reflects her style.
While Lindsey was clearly the heart of this session, it was important to include her husband and daughter in the images too; maternity portraits are more than a moment for the mother — they capture the whole family in the middle of a huge shift. These sessions celebrate not just the anticipation of a new life, but also the strength of a woman’s body as it grows a baby while nurturing the family she’s built. It’s a beautiful, fleeting time worth preserving — and I’m so honored to have been able to do just that.
Motherhood carries a quiet strength — steady, powerful, and full of grace. A maternity portrait session is a chance to pause and honor this fleeting chapter, capturing the beauty of new life and the resilience it takes to nurture it. These images become timeless keepsakes, celebrating not just your growing family, but the strength and softness that define motherhood.
