I hope
when you come home to yourself
there are flowers lining the front porch
that were left from all the women
you were before.

Imagine portraits made just for you—because you deserve to feel beautiful.

I believe every woman deserves to feel seen, celebrated, and beautifully represented — not just for milestones or other people, but for herself. Whether you’re honoring a life season or simply embracing who you are right now, I’m proud to offer women a unique space to be seen through elegant, editorial-style portraiture.

My journey with photography began in a middle school where I fell in love with capturing people on film. My passion for story-telling and fashion photography led me to pursue a BFA in photography. After years of working with real women (not models!), I’ve developed a signature style rooted in softness, emotion, and elegant simplicity. With 25 years behind the lens and a foundation in film, I bring both technical expertise and an intuitive eye for what makes a portrait truly resonate.

Based in Clarksville, TN, I offer on-location sessions across Middle Tennessee, creating editorial portraits for women that marry quiet elegance with honest expression. You can expect an easygoing, elevated experience designed to make you feel confident, comfortable, and utterly gorgeous.

If you're searching for a photographer to document senior portraits, maternity, or just celebrate yourself, I’d be honored to work with you.

My photography style is a blend of gentle elegance, romantic charm, and effortless simplicity. I believe in creating images that stand the test of time, destined to be cherished heirlooms rather than fleeting digital snapshots buried in your social media feeds.

Your natural beauty is what makes you unique, and I celebrate that in every photograph I take. I believe in embracing yourself as you are, without excessive editing or alterations. Your images will reflect the authentic you, with genuine emotions and your unique beauty shining through.

To be cliché, photography was my first love.

The first camera I ever picked up was my dad’s old 35mm when I was in middle school. I used my best friends and family as models and shot them on film...a lot. The only place I really wanted to be was out in the woods by my house taking pictures of my friends or in the darkroom at school learning how to process and print my film. Some of that work won some awards and landed in the Corcoran as part of an exhibit and published in a national photography magazine. I attended the top-ranked Fine Art program at Virginia Commonwealth University and graduated with a BFA in photography & film. After graduating, I worked as an assistant photographer and studio manager to established portrait and wedding photographers around D.C. and Virginia, and as a designer in a Richmond, VA photographic printing lab.

With a foundation in film, my approach is discernible, thoughtful, and attentive; I won’t just be clicking away with the hope of catching something. With a background in fine art photography, I consider each frame it’s own piece and work toward honest and heartfelt reflections in your images.

I am a military spouse and five years ago our little family moved to Clarksville from North Carolina, where I photographed many wonderful clients, and developed websites and branding for several local businesses.

WHERE IT ALL BEGAN

I absolutely loved working with Kerry! She made me feel comfortable and confident in our session. The pictures turned out beautifully!

— Michelle D.

My name is Harry.
I’m Kerry’s husband.

She asked me to write her bio, but I thought I’d just write about her. I met Kerry when she was in art school and I saw her thesis show at an old bank in downtown Richmond, VA. As I got to know her it was mostly through the photos that she handed me to look at, meeting those people in real life, and trying to feel what those photos meant to her. I have always been intrigued by Kerry’s gentle aesthetic and attention to what a picture says. While we dated she worked for other people but wasn’t comfortable with their vision; she’s always wanted to be creative on her own terms. Kerry has taken photos of many people, and more than anything, cultivated a beautiful and meaningful human experience through her creativity.
